VINEYARD CHILDREN'S HOME | ACTION

We choose to SHOW UP for our children - to support them financially and emotionally, to remind them that THEY MATTER and that THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We are in relationship with Vineyard Children's Home, which includes two homes in Kayamandi and two Cloetesville (the rural areas of Western Cape). We are involved in various ways to support 5 kids in every home (20 children total in 2022).

We focus on the various needs of the children by assisting in the following:

Adult Students

SCHOOL AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

This includes school fees, hostel fees, financial support for uniforms, stationery, books, extra lessons and extra mural activities.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMS AND TRIPS

We organize fun trips during the holidays for the children to look forward to. This is a highlight for the children, as they spend most year in their homes and at school.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

We make each child's birthday special by sharing a cake, a gift and snacks with the specific Children's Home.

CHRISTMAS BOXES

We invite our community to partake in making Christmas special for each child as they contribute financially to give the children a Christmas gift.

TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD

Leaving school is a strenuous time as these children exit the Children's Home and we take hand to help them transition to adult life. This includes assisting in various vocational skills as they desire.

GRADE 12 END YEAR DANCE (PROM) CELEBRATION

We take hands as community to become celebrate with the young girl(s) (makeup, dress, shoes, photography etc.) and/or boy (suit, shoes, vehicle for transport)
